Deann Ware, Ph.D.
Dr.
Ware is a licensed psychologist
in the State of Texas, with 25
years experience working
one-on-one with clients.
She
received a Bachelor of Arts
degree from the University of
Texas at Austin, with Honors
conferred by the University and
Special Honors conferred by the
Department of Psychology.
She earned a doctorate in
clinical psychology from the
University of Texas Southwestern
Medical Center at Dallas.
After completing her formal
academic training, she
participated in two additional
years of supervised training in
neuropsychology. Her
professional training involved
academic as well as applied
experience in many areas of
mental health and
neuropsychology.
Dr.
Ware helps individuals with a
variety of clinical concerns,
including depression, anxiety,
obsessive compulsive disorder
(OCD), panic, grief, Post
Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
and attention deficit
hyperactivity disorder
(ADD/ADHD). Dr. Ware is
trained in a multitude of
therapeutic approaches,
including cognitive-behavioral
therapy, psychodynamic therapy,
positive psychology, and EMDR.
She has been practicing as a
psychologist in private practice
in Dallas, Texas, for over 20
years.
Dr.
Ware maintains a current knowledge
base in psychology by attending
and presenting at professional
conferences, consulting with local
colleagues, and reading current
literature. She has
presented at conferences
nationally as well as in the
Dallas area and has conducted
continuing education courses for
her peers. She has also
provided post-doctoral supervision
and student supervision for the
University of Texas Southwestern
Medical Center at Dallas.
Dr.
Ware participates in several
professional organizations and has
held elected and appointed
offices within these
organizations.
Dr.
Ware served on the Steering
Committee for the North Texas
Society for Personality
Assessment and is a former
president of the Dallas Society
for Psychoanalytic
Psychology. Dr. Ware was
nominated by her peers, and
selected by The Texas State
Board of Examiners of
Psychologists, to serve as an
examiner for candidates seeking
licensure in the State of Texas;
she also served as a special
task force member for the State
Board.
Dr.
Ware provides individual
psychotherapy and EMDR
therapy for adults and
seniors.
Dr.
Ware also authored www.dailyshoring.com,
which provides 90 daily
tips for emotional well
being.

S. Liss-Clarke, Ph.D.
Dr.
Liss-Clarke has been licensed as
a psychologist in the State of
Texas for 25 years.
She
received a Bachelor of Arts
degree from Smith College and a
doctorate in clinical psychology
from the University of Texas
Southwestern Medical Center at
Dallas. She has worked
with children, adolescents, and
adults in a variety of inpatient
and outpatient settings,
including hospitals, private
schools, community health
centers, and private practice in
the Dallas area.
She has
extensive clinical experience
assessing and treating
individuals with mood disorders,
anxiety disorders, eating
disorders, and learning
disabilities.
Dr.
Liss-Clarke is an Assistant
Professor of Psychology at the
University of Texas Southwestern
Medical Center at Dallas, and
currently teaches the Child
Assessment course for the
psychology doctoral
students. She has
supervised interns and
post-doctoral fellows in
psychology and chaired the
Admissions Committee for the
doctoral program in clinical
psychology. She is a
published researcher and has
served on numerous dissertation
committees.
In
addition to academic
appointments, Dr. Liss-Clarke is
an experienced clinician and an
active contributor in the mental
health community in
Dallas.
She
served as President of the
Dallas Psychological Association
in 2014-2015 and has previously
served on the Board of Trustees
for the International Dyslexia
Association, the Metroplex
Parents of Multiples, and the
Montessori Episcopal School, as
well as volunteering as a Court
Appointed Special Advocate for
children in the foster care
system. She also served as
an examiner for the Texas
State Board of Examiners of
Psychologists.
Dr.
Liss-Clarke enjoys
working with children,
adolescents, and adults.
She provides individual
psychotherapy and psychological
assessment.
